I remember my first experience at WAJ and being so grateful for the opportunity to learn from the best songwriters in the music industry all in the same place for 3 days in a row! So many great songwriting tips that I have used time and again in my songwriting career.
Another favorite memory is participating in the songwriting competitions. What a blessing to be able to learn so much from having my own songs evaluated, but also getting to hear multiple critiques of the other songs that were in the competition.
Finally, my favorite take-away from my WAJ experience has been the numerous songwriting friends I have made through the years of attending Many of those friends are now regular songwriting cohorts on a weekly basis.
